Damanat Foundation for Rights and Freedoms in cooperation with Ebhar Foundation for children & creativity, implemented an advocating event for including a special act for Intellectual Property Rights in the Yemeni constitution, supported by Response Program, funded by the American Agency for Development, during the period (Sept-Oct. 2013).
The project aims to implement three introductory meetings to convey the importance of the Intellectual Property Rights and collect a signed requests demanding the committee assigned to formulate the Yemeni Constitution in order to include a special act for Intellectual Property Rights.
The Foundation conducted the first introductory meeting for intellectual and talented neutral individuals in Yemen from different cities (Sanaa, Aden and Taiz). The second meeting targeted the activist and people working in the governmental and local civil society Institutions especially females. The third meeting focused on educating youth students from universities, particularly Sanaa University, on human rights issues.
Damanat Foundation for Rights and freedoms joined the Yemeni Net for Intellectual Property Rights which was established by Ebhar Foundation for children & creativity for all the Foundation s which participated in the project from Sanaa, Aden Taiz, and Alhodaidah cities.
This comes in the context of the Foundation orientation in the field of Human Rights and Freedoms using cultural and artistic tools to increase the knowledge about the Rights and cultural experiences and how to use it in the field of civil work in Yemen.
